Artist's Statement

A growth as a beauty of life.

 I draw abstract images of growth - growth of nature, growth of feeling, and growth of thought - through my own visual language. The growth of living creatures as a natural phenomenon, the process of developing ideas from my own experiences, and the invisible connections among them are basic concepts of my art.

Most of the abstract images and shapes in the works are from nature. Imagining and drawing forms of the growing is not only examining general facts but also creating my own universe. Obsessively connected red lines become patterns and these become the visual forms. Lines record flowing times and reflect my ongoing existence.  I am searching within myself for fundamental truth and beauty in life.
